Volunteer Committees.

Volunteers are encouraged to work at least three shifts in one of the following committees during Tournament Week. Committee and shift selections can be made on the Volunteer registration form at the time of registration. Volunteer shifts vary by committee, but typically last four to six hours.

Volunteer needs and committees are subject to change. Information will be finalized closer to the opening of registration.

Helping the Fans

Admissions/ Will Call: Distribute pre-purchased tournament credentials to the appropriate recipient, scan tickets, and sell tickets on site. Volunteers in this committee will also serve as greeters/ ambassadors for the tournament as spectators enter the event will be asked to hand out pairings sheets. 

Corporate Hospitality: Serve as credential checkpoints at various hospitality points on course. Also provide information for patrons in hospitality areas. 

Pro-Am: Assist with amateur registration and gift bag assembly and distribution. 

Volunteer Services: Check in volunteers, maintain a comfortable work environment for them during the Tournament and fill-in where necessary. Assist with the set-up and clean-up of volunteer food in the tent during the week. 

Shuttles and Carts: Facilitate the distribution of golf carts and transport players and volunteers on course in designated areas. Pick up/drop off ADA spectators at designated areas on course/parking lots. Green to Tee shuttles. 

Helping the Game

Scoring Control: Committee is essential in the scoring of the tournament with the use of radio communication and computers to track live scores from walking scorers. Will also manage radio distribution and collection. 

Scoring Tent: Collect scorecards, check addition, and make sure players turn in their cards. 

Walking Scorers: Responsibilities include keeping score on handheld Palm devise and reporting scores to scoring control by radio.  

Standard Bearers: Carry a sign inside the ropes during play and display players’ scores.  

Marshals: Will be required to assist Golf Channel with spotting. Marshals located on tees will be asked to open and close lids of coolers for Players and Caddies. 

Driving Range: Assist Shadow Creek staff with managing the driving range

On-Course Services: Responsible for restocking and sanitizing of all hydration stations.
